About ABRISCO
Our story
For years, ABRISCO founder Jeffrey Thiel saw the same tradeoff in abrasives: pay a premium for a major brand, or spend less and sacrifice performance, consistency or durability.
Jeff had spent decades inside the industry, including time at 3M and 20 years building Scientific Plastics Corporation, which he founded with a business partner in 1995. By 1999, his company was manufacturing abrasive brushes for some of the industry’s largest companies before the business was sold in 2015.
In 2020, Jeff returned to abrasive production with a simple idea: make the kind of abrasives demanding work requires without charging for the name on the box. That idea became ABRISCO Abrasives, a Midwest manufacturer of high-quality, made-in-the-USA brushes and discs built for consistent performance, long life and real value.
Because the value isn’t in the name on the box. It’s in what the product proves on the job.
